Home Improvement - Part III [ Exterior Renovation ]

Since beginning of June, I've started to renovate my house. Extended the front patio, bricked up the fencing, tiled the porch and changed a new gate! Finally, the works are done and I'm happy with the result. *smile*

Home Improvement - Part II [ Interior Painting ]

This is a late posting. Stage 2 of my home improvement project started few weeks back. My family decided to go for the ICI Dulux Pearl Glo "Verdant Green" theme for our home interior paint. We've completed the "Gum Tree" part of the wall, which was a small portion and we're left with the "Regatta" and "Guava Ice" portions.

Hopefully we can complete it before X'mas... lolz.

Good Friday

This is one of the happiest day of my life! Praise you Lord for all You've done for us! It is also on this day, my concept design has been featured in Yanko Design, which was the world leading modern industrial design website where millions of people from all over the world will be tuning in to some of the world's best designs and concepts. I'm extremely happy that my design has been chosen as one of the feature design and it's right in the front page! Well, at least on that particular day. *smile*

Thank you Lord and thanks to all those have supported me! *wink*

Deepest Regret

Have you ever felt regretful for what you could have done but you didn't do it because you worried too much?

I could have made the call last nite. As a matter of fact, I did called once but there was no answer. Then, I didn't bother to call the second time until this morning.

So, what happened next? IT'S SOLD!

Bye bye FD... *sob sob*

What could have been a dream come true... :(

My Favourite Ice-Cream

Ok. Since I talked about Dairy Queen Ice-cream in the previous post. Here I would like to list out the top 3 of my most favourite Ice-cream.

No. 3 - Baskin Robbins

No. 2 - Haagen Dazs

No. 1 - Dairy Queen / DQ Orange Julius

Why Brunei?

What is so nice about Brunei Darussalam anyway? As for me, there are only 3 reasons why I go to Brunei...

1. Escapade Sushi - Notice the thick salmon?? Yeah... that is what it's all about!!

2. Dairy Queen Ice-cream - Ok. I admit it does look a bit like poops. But, who cares!

3. Imported Chocolate - Hmm... I lied. Only the one at the center is from Brunei. The other 2 are from Singapore.. haha...

Yes, I know. I'm shallow when it comes to food. haha... *smile*

Chain of Selfishness

I think the world is run by a majority of extremely selfish people.

I find selfishness to be one of the most unattractive traits a person can have. Given there are variations of selfishness that can be deemed as healthy or good for self-preservation… most of the time it is just another trait used to tag a jerk.

But, can we really blame people when they are raised to look out for themselves all the time? To be trained to trust no one and to care for their own interests alone? Fuck everyone else, as they say… that is the motto most people will choose to live by. We are a society of jaded selfish beings. That include you and me. Yes, no one is perfect in this world.

History has shown great accomplishment from leaders who at certain points in their life had to act on selfishness to gain a greater glory for their country, cause, whatever… but these are men and women who paved the way for a better life, society for all of us… but what about the average joe who’s just plain selfish? Runaway when a friend in need of them the most, or just being there only when things are going their way.

Why being a jerk when there is no higher purpose for it?

I have gone through enough loss in life in all facets of material, spiritual and emotional levels to understand that there is nothing in this world that we can feel and touch with our hands and body that is worth our integrity. It is the love, kindness, concern and compassion we shared with the people that we know that will matter in the end.

We came into this life with nothing, we will leave it the same way.

So if you have extra, give it away… if you have some spare time, be patient with others… that added push to help and to give will matter so much in the end. Selfishness will do nothing for you but make you lonely and miserable… and it will leave you surrounded with no one else but the only person you were trained to trust... You.

I must admit I have been selfish myself but I'm sure the Lord will know what to do with me when the time come.

Home Improvement

Last Saturday has been quite a busy day for me. I've got my home's living room and dining room refurbished with laminated flooring. *grin* Thanks to Lasapka for the introduction of the special flooring, after much persuasion, My wife and I finally decided to floor it! *laugh* The result was fantastic! We chose Toni Beech. The colour is just nice. *wink*

Now, the walls looked kinda sick... will be painting it before Christmas! *smile*
